Five days later; "Beep Beep" - I get a text message from Cons.
"Another belco bowl jam dun and dusted for another year, thanks to all the riders that make the effort to come to a real skate jam, thanks goes out to all the sponos and hekklers there on the day, some fukn awsum shreding went down as always and rj stood a top of the crowd to take lord. Shout out to best local joel bliss on the day.. now we get to the shanagins shooter kelly pulled, after geting drunk on way to airport missing his plane, booking a extra flight by axident for later this month he finally made it to belco, only to stay at dave steels house and totally rite em selves of the nite before the jam.. the old belco curse!! The day of our beef he beged for leaniance and asked for a day to re cover.. me being the most grashest CHAMP of all time gave him his day in the art of fair play!!! The next mornng i was ovausly a bit under the weather and shooter moved in for the kill.. our tri serires went of without a hitch until we opend up the votes to the public were shotter ovouisly rigded the voteing to save himself the embaresment of being beeten by the champ... over all it was a great weekend and we had a blast.. but im sure in his heart of hearts, he noes who the real CHAMP is... see u all there next year for the 20 th anivarsiry bowl jam... bigger and beter....Nailed it."
Translated that pretty much says RJ Barbaro defended his crown and won Lord Of the Bowl and that Steve "Shoota" Kelly won a bitter Skate Beef challenge against Cons under very suspicious circumstances.
This was the 19th annual Belco Bowl Jam which is crazy because some of the kids who tore the old girl apart weren't even born when the first Bowl Jam happened in 2000. And it's even crazier that next year will be the 20th Bowl Jam! There are some wild and unconfirmed rumours circulating that next year's bowl jam will be the final leg of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic trials and Matt "The Package" Shirvington will be there with the Fox Sports crew to televise the event. This is massive so tell your Mum to mark it her calendar, SATURDAY MARCH 7, 2020 - Matt Shirvington, at Belco, wearing his 2006 Commonwealth Games spandex suit from his 100m bangers and mash dash semi-final.
