Nature of Complaint: Simply skateboards "blatantly" ripping off Roger Graphics.


VERDICT: The evidence that has been put forward to the court through this thread and the charlie thread clearly shows that Simply Skateboards blatantly ripped off Roger skateboards graphics/image. The similarities are too close to pass off as "inspiration" and is 'simply' (pun intented) a copyright infringement.

The court will be open to appeal untill 14:00 EST 22/7/2010

Thanks for responding. Who wrote the above? Was it the artist? I'm still a little confused because someone who I thought was part of the company wrote this in the charlie forum.

That comment didn't sound to me at all that the company was promoting this as a homage at all. Quite the opposite.

However, if anyone, ever were to disagree with the words "blatant ripoff" being used when referring to these "artworks" they would be wrong.

I liked the deck after reading all of this controversial shit (and got one because it was cheap) didnt know what I was going to get but picked it up and it rocked! Heaps of pop got my $60 worth and the graphics wont be their for long!!!! So Who give a shit

The "Making waves in yo bathtub" would have been way funnier if it said "Making bubbles in yo bathtub", with some bubbles floating up and bursting in the graphic.

would would have been better is if they had a picture of astro boy right in the middle of the board, but really small so you could hardly see it.. that would have been cool
