Washed up = more like you had a pro skate career or was good and going places, now losing it but still trying to hang on to what is left and milk it for all it is worth.

Getting a job in the industry, open a skate shop, skate for fun and work a job all constitutes a step out of the washed up list, as they are not trying to make it still and have found other means to support themselves.

Starting your own company to keep your skateboard career going when kicked off your other sponsors is usually a sure sign that things are going downhill, not always, but most likely (not naming names, but think about it and it is pretty much true).

i cannot remember who said it but I remember an old vid someone said something like:

"I gave up a real job and a real life to ride a skateboard..."

Some are still living the dream I guess.

Hahaha. That rant about being washed up dosnt include people who run shops slash companies and shit.....

That's exactly what being washed up is. Knowing u can't skate to pay the bills anymore so u gotta try start a shit company up

Perfect example = chris marchovic and he's many failed schemes. I'd say crimson is about to keel over any day now
TTristan'19 Oct 2008
hahah he's already lost crimson, someone else took over when mark couldn't take it anymore
