Nah, it usually happens anyway so it' not really much of a theme, what about best ollie or best kickflip?

how about a more photographically challenging theme rather than a skater challenging theme if you know what i mean, like best angle for example rather than best kickflip? just a thought,

Too hard to judge. It's too dependent on the spot and the trick.

you should do one for best micro composition...
(which is having your subject framed within your frame... like, finding a white square in the background and putting your skateboarder in it... or just in between trees in the sky...

one of the most important and often neglected things in skate photography.

Definitely not too hard to judge, best angle would definitely be based more on creativity than anything. So something original than the standard angles would win.
Things like best kickflip can be just as dependant on the skaters the photographer knows/spots around.

I'd like to see an assignment of most creative use of natural light or one of best use of flash.

flash and natural light gets done all the time and most of these guys dont have the gear that they would want to light something really creatively anyway (no diss).
composition is the only equal platform
