The last trivia comp really got my brain ticking, and I figured as no-one is asking trivia questions I may as well fill the niche.

Correct answers to questions win nothing but a virtual pat on the back and the glow of self satisfaction.

Sooooo ..... first question.

Lance Mountain has a great f/s invert, as the cover of the new Skateboarder will attest. Apparently he had a plethora of f/s invert photos in the mags at some point though, as someone bitched about that fact in their interview in a now long defunct mag. It went something along the lines of "why so many lance f/s invert photos get published? Not fair, other people deserve coverage too".

The question has three parts - which pro was doing the bitching? who did he share the interview with (it was a joint interview)? and which mag was the interview in?

I should point out that this will be close to impossible for anyone under 30 to get, but feel free to guess or fish for clues.

was it in big brother, and i'm pretty sure such comments put the final nail in the coffin of the unmentioned skaters career
YYahbrain9 Sept 2009
Hey Demon how have you been? Gotta catch up for a roll soon.

Although Big Brother became a great source of bitching, controversy etc this little hoo ha was before its time. Nice try though.

It was the Bod Boyle/Steve Douglas interview from Poweredge Magazine the November 1989 issue. And I am going to say it was Douglas doing the bitching.

Sskatemate1910 Sept 2009

YYahbrain10 Sept 2009
Holy Crap Fair Dinkum. Well done, 100% correct

It's kind of funny how Lance getting coverage of that trick copped flack 20 years ago, and he just had that amazing cover. Shows how timeless good skating can be.
Bbraddox10 Sept 2009
Ah, times were simpler then. You could get a cover doin a flat ground one footed ollie.
Ttuaki10 Sept 2009
That knock knee Ron Allen looking madollie just sent shivers up my spine.
LLeedog10 Sept 2009
Makes me wanna go home and scan my R.A.D. magazine with a sequence of Tom Penny doing a "fakie nollie 180 one foot kick out"
Bbraddox10 Sept 2009
In my heyday Dinkum, in my heyday. I'd be lucky to huck one up a curb these days.
