Yahbrain18 Mar 2010Peeps seem over the switch Japan question - the answer I had in mind was Alex "Trainwreck" Gall, although in hindsight it was more mute than Japan.
Got a new one for today - which skater had an ad for a board company he never ended up riding for until several years later? Ie: he was going to ride for them but then ended up sticking with his sponsor at the time.
K
krang18 Mar 2010ellington - baker?
bonus beginer level question: how did alex gall get the nickname trainwreck?
Y
Yahbrain18 Mar 2010Nah not Ellington, although I can see where you are coming from with whole Zero -baker -Zero - Baker thing I'm pretty sure he never had a Baker ad til he got on proper.
Ellington related question though - Which skater demanded he give up shotgun in the van because he was pro and Ellington was only am at the time?
D
deeemon18 Mar 2010i don't know if reynolds would have dropped this on ellington but he is apparently notorious for the pros in the front ams in the back call

BNE19 Mar 2010There's a ditch in Carlsbad next to the train lines and Alex Gall was nearly killed/clipped by a train skating there.

Yahbrain19 Mar 2010Nope and nope. This board co is pretty damn obscure, I only heard of it because a certain excellent site has just done a feature on it. A hint though - apparently it was Jamahl's first ever board sponsor.
