Balmoral skate park is a park of many opinions. It is in a fairly good location, you can catch a bus there from North Sydney (st. leonards park) or drive and park right next to it (hopefully) NOTE: If you try to bomb the hill down to balmoral, you've gotta be freakin' confident on board otherwise you've gotta a 99% chance of getting hit by a car. You can get fish and chips from one of the shops along the road then have a romantic walk along the beach. The park isn't very big but it's made well and has some redeeming features. I can't ride it, but good people say that the bowl is nice, and it's the best one in the area for sure. The street area isn't very good. The picnic table block is too high and short and the rail is high too. Both of those parts are difficult to use in lines, so it's just a whole lot of banks really. Nothing special really. Overall, for people who aren't gnar in bowls and can't get giggy on the big street stuff there isn't much to be entertained by. However if you are, then you'll have alot more fun than I do.
the closet skate shop is just up the road n its called balmoral boards this park is pretty good if ur into the bowl but apart from that it sukssss........
How councils get conned into spending there money on things like this Ill never know!?!? All though I guess I can see what the idea is supposed to be Im sure this cant have been what was imagined for the finished article. The block on the bank is fun but apart from that unless your one of the hundreds little kids who hang out there everyday then youll find yourself getting over the rest of it pretty quickly. The bowls pretty gnar and would have been better if it was larger in diameter but as it where most of the kids there have enough trouble rolling down the flat bank so wouldnt really make a difference. If your near by you should check it out for yourself but dont have to higher expectations as you may get disappointed...on the plus side it keeps all the 10yo off the streets. I was really hoping to see a spaced out entry level type park here as thats exactly what the huge mount of really young kids in this area need.
The Truth, living up to his name. Word.
that hubba thing going down that small bank looks rad
terrible waste of money should hav just built the bowl, the rail; has the most retarted run up on the side of the bowl (less than a metre wide) but picnic obstacle thing is mad for wallrides but a bit too high. bowls fuckin mad pretty sweet hip in there. very stupid tiny box on top no run up way too low but good for manual to drop on bank. fun doing flip tricks out of small banks from roll in. most of the time annoying little kids on skooters or bikes. bowls great everything else is basuically shithouse
if you go to this park... bring a tazer 4 zappin lil shits who stand in ur way coz as the truth said... theres a fukin lot of em'... (ps. zap em' once 4 me)
