Belconnen has been upgraded from its initial construct in 1990 with the only feature retained being the infamous 10ft iconic keyhole bowl. Australia’s largest skatepark at the time of its re-opening in 2011. Home of the Belco Bowl Jam. Bottom entry (cnr Eastern Valley Way and Emu Bank) runs down a small stair set with an outledge and flat ground being the run up into a 7 stair set that includes a rail, rustic metal hubba and big trannied hubba adjoining a flat bank. A 4ft high mini ramp with two extensions is to the left of the entrance with a tight cinder block vert wall up against the back corner of the mini. The lake waterfront area includes a long street plaza catering for all disciplines including: · Beginners area of small transition, manual pads/ledges, and two flatbars. · This moves into the mid plaza area with a rustic metal taco, small transition, replica half crater, split level ledge including a euro gap, twisted jersey barrier, small curbed jersey and medium transition including a curved loveseat, manual pad flowing up into transition and transition going into staired ledges / big 4 stair, · Top plaza includes curved rustic metal ledge, a volcano, banks going into tight trannied pool tile. A feature strip starting with a quarter that goes into a woop de doo curve running down into a hubba adjoining the small 5 stair that also includes banks, a trannied hubba, a rustic metal hubba and down rail. The snake bowl consists of three bowls linked together with two “tacos” progressing from a roll in at approx 4 foot up to 8 foot in the deep end. Rustic metal features around the platform of the bowl include a sub box on the edge of the middle bowl, a rainbow ledge joining the middle bowl to the deep bowl and an in and out curve on the road side of the bowl. The outer side of the deep end of the snake bowl is also trannied, as are the tacos. (Luke Brown)
