Ferny Grove Skate Park

The park is in a figure 8 layout, with two bowls arranged with a quarter to bank jump between them. The main part of the park has a rough donut shape, with coping edged quarter pipe 3ft high running round the outside and a mellow banked hip box in the middle. The other end contains a much smaller bowl of about 1 to 2 ft high, with a strange little vert quarter extension facing onto the joining part.
The overall feel of the park is cruisy, generally with enough room to do anything on the easy quarters or banks, the surface for the most part smooth with some small lumps. Since being painted with a mural of sorts, it has become rather slippery at times.
Drink fountain and shade are close by, as are the somewhat unique seats made from large logs which surround the park. Shops and the train station are only a short skate away.

fun park .. it will be sad to see the old girl go but maybe the BCC will strike gold and the locals will get a penthouse pet of a park

I dunno bout stabbing but when i was there, they were being a bunch of cunts. Apparently the bcc are making a whole new park further down the road?
yeh they are making a new park opposite the old one the park is long starting with a ten stair with rail and boxes going down the ten with a fun and unique course its a mad park and hope you all get there

You can skate it now it's finished, they just got to do the landscaping(scenery etc)!

yeah the new park is awesome, its got a mad euro and ledges.
ok, just came back from the new park, it's pretty... well ugly. it's so ugly it could be modern art master piece. the only good thing about the park is the euro , the curb high manny and the slightly flat bar. it's built on a hill. where the hell is all the flat land? any why put perfectly good marble/ granite ledges on bumps or with no room around them?
where are the pics of the friggn' new park? it's been there for ages!!
P.S. that old park is WIERD
the new park has no ten stair, and it's not new at all. it's my local, and the old park got demolished to make room for a stupid ol' golf course for ol buggers. new park's awsome. 5/5.

the new park is pretty good but thair is a lot of scooters thair not many skate boards and a few bikes
The new park has been there for about 2 and a half years now looks awsome but built on a slight hill but doesnt bother me just more speed =). Awsome euro gaps sick 3 stair and the fun box Some great lines, Gaps, Grinds all around just waiting to be seshed up. Great spot to come down to for the day and have a free look around and skate. Ferny is a great place, i have been skating there all the time heaps of skaters fair number of bmx and scooterz though...
yea this was my first ever skate park , i agree with wezza the new parks sick has a mad 3 stair the bowls real thin but gnarly as to skat the best way to ride it is fast
