Zurich Skate Park

Zuerich Homeland skatepark in Brunau was brand new when I went to skate it (May 2013). It covers a really big area and theres lots of stuff to skate. Its definitly fun. Theres a lot of block/ flatbar combinations, and a jersey barrier in the street area that will keep you entertained. There is also a bowl that covers a massive area. Overall though, I was a little let down. A lot of it wasnt really well thought out, and it hasnt got a lot of flow. For example theres a super wide quarter on the street course that for the most part faces flat ground, and a bank to block that is much the same. Even though theres heaps of space to the bowl, not a lot of it is really functional or well thought out. The concrete we have on the brand new Convic parks in Oz is way smoother too. I think this was Switzerlands first shot at a big concrete park. Hats off for getting it done. Ill still take my watches made in Switzerland and my skateparks made by Australians. Still fun, and worth a visit if you are in the area.
