Carmel Skatepark

Carmel Skatepark was built by sidewalk contractors around nine years ago, and was experiencing a lot of wear and tear. After closing the park for 6 weeks in September/October 2012, Hunger Skateparks addressed the problem areas and extended three rails. The repairs consisted of the custom fabricating of two twenty foot long steel edging pieces to replace the degraded areas, replacing of caulking throughout park, patching holes of various sizes, and filling large cracks with epoxy. The original contractors failed to include three flat bars in the design. Hunger corrected this error and extended all the rails making the park more skateable.
