wade'E 17:51 13/Nov/06

pointless because it canot possibly resolve the issue of a kid making noise with a skateboard.

What makes you so sure that between us we can't build a time machine and go back in time and rectify the situation huh? I'm sure we all have skills of which you are quite unaware.

"Beware the things that does stuff bad!"

It's not "crying" dude man. It's called having a little bit of fucking respect. If he didn't understand the respect for the people that fought for this country then have some respect for the people around him and have some fucking respect for his fellow skateboarders that will now have an even further tarnish on them because dick face could stop throwing his shit around for 60 seconds out of his important day. wade 'E, I think you just wanted to arge for the sake of arguing. No one can seriously think that this kid did nothing wrong.

ponyyy 17:55 13/Nov/06

MITCH IS A PIECE!!!

ejacula 18:38 13/Nov/06

if it wasnt for the fact that he was 20 metres away from where all the oldies had gathered at their shrine to pay respect, there would have been nothing wrong then...

napoleon-dynamite 18:43 13/Nov/06

hey switchtre witch memorial are u talking about?

wade'E 19:32 13/Nov/06

the one at the top of martin small square with round edges.

Leo. 19:32 13/Nov/06

I believe switchtre was talking about the marble memorial, its like a block with rounded off edges. Caswell Berry does nose-bonk 180 out and then switch 180's the Martin Place 10.
At the end of the day they fought and died for this kid to be able to disrespect what he likes without serious penalties. So why should we be so insistent on taking away that right? Sure we should certainly discourage it but I dont think anyone without a chip on their shoulder for whatever reason would be disrespectful to the memorial services if they knew what was done for them. I am not sure how old this kid is but if instead of threatening and shaming him they taught him a bit about the sacrifices the veterans made then he would put himself to shame.

napoleon-dynamite 19:52 13/Nov/06

ohhhh that thing now i know wat ya talking about

The Features 06:57 16/Nov/06

I KNOW THE KID THAT DID IT!!!

Pacman 07:25 16/Nov/06

good point leo

Darth 18:46 16/Nov/06

Fuck I would hate to be mitchy-poo right now, but if i was, i probably wouldn't have been such an oxygen thieving little tool by making noise during the 1 minute silence. Im not gonna quote anyone coz it would be too hard but i think someone argued that soldiers fought for people to be free and able to respect and disrespect whatever they want and i suppose that is true to some extent but not in the case of 1 min silence. Making noise in a 1 minute silence is sacrilege, and I for one am pissed off at this kids blatant disrespect and subsequent tarnishing of the skateboarder's reputation. "actual silence is impossible for humans" - not when they're dead. I really fear for Mitchey-poo, all i can say now is you had better be a good hider or a very fast runner.

P.S. That wasn't a death threat, i was merely implying that mitch is going to get fucked up by a skateboarder who knows what he did.

Hanus 20:55 16/Nov/06

Do you really believe young men, your age, went overseas to fight and die in a WAR so thier memory and sacrifice can be "disrespected" ?

I think they went to war and laid down thier lives so that we could continue to live in a free and beautiful society.

I think respect and 1 minute of remembrance a year is somewhat miniscule compared to giving up the rest of your life for the freedom of your country.

Life in a free society has its responsibilities. To ignore that is to descend into the so called ultimate freedom - ANARCHY ! ... and that just leads to you loosing all of your rights

He showed disregard and disrespect while at the same time he must have been aware of what was going on around him... it was Martin Place !

Little acts like this can lead to silly things like a complete 24hr, policed, ban on skaters ever using Martin Place to skate at again. Then who is going to be screaming about freedom and respect
