It really doesn't make sense to me how if we choose the bowl option 'it pleases everybody' where as the street option only please some people.
The bowl option isn't going to please both types of skaters like has previously been mentioned. The transition riders receive the bowl of their dreams and then the people who want a street plaza receive a boring/ poor excuse for a skatepark next to the bowl.
I highly doubt that if the street section was well designed and incorporated a bowl there would even be an argument.
The only options present at the moment are a good bowl/ shit street park or a good street park.
Is there really no way to have both?
Thank you to everyone that took the time to come down today. It was really positive and constructive by all accounts. I reckon we will end up with a rad park that suits everyone.
after seeing how the "vote" was swaying, all i can say now is that i hope the street elements get fixed on the bowl design, and it doesn't get any more tranny added.
I agree. It's not hard to get the street section right. Thanks for coming down Bibby.
"And I, for one, welcome our new bowl demon overlords"
Excellent- bet most of us can't wait to have another Coburg park in the next suburb to the existing Coburg park...
I know its in the construction drawings faze. Nothing happening at the site yet either. no signs or fences, etc.
