instead of spending 10 gees on that half assed shelter they could have filled in the gaps on the ground

Is it open to the public yet does anyone know?

gutterpaint 11:35 07/Jul/13

why do they continue to make these fucking retarded parks? all we need is a few nice closed bowls with a couple of hips and some simple ledges and flat bars

You'd hope that since Woden, every park built in Oz since would be equivalent in quality and flow, what's the point of stepping backwards? Even if the budget isn't there good things can be accomplished with less.

This still looks like novelty fun though

How much this thing cost? I want to build the replica at my joint.

Looks like a park that would be good with less than 5 people there, and horrendous with any more. A nice weekday spot i guess

I don't get why they build ledge's/hubba's that are hollow? Isn't skateboarding dangerous enough already?

That vert wall fuck up is just unforgivable.

Yeah how's the one I circled? Sure I would enjoy skating the obstacle but you have to go at it at speed against the direction of park traffic. One direction the carve into line has a seat....A SEAT and the other carve into has a ledge. Your only option is to head at it straight and then you would exit from it at high speed into the back of a 1/4 pipe and a rock garden.

Park looks like a heap of fun, and i'd be keen if it was my local… having said ‘I hate to nit pick other peoples designs’ especially when it's already being built, and will accomplish nothing ... I have time to kill, and you don’t have to read this anyway.
- what the fucks up with those seats? one to wallie or sit on would be kinda cool but there's like 20 of them? 20! Why stop at such a dismal number as 20, why not 200! Why not just fuck off all the ramps, ledges and rails and just have the option of 200 or so seats to sit on and admire the rock garden. without making too much of a deal about how the flow of the park kindof sucks lots of weeping bloody cocks. Lets focus on the rock garden. What’s thefucking point of surrounding a park with rocks? Or putting them under ledges? Why not sand? Or water? Apart from biblicaly smiting one’s enemies, I can’t think of another good reason to have a bunch of throwable, skull crushing, sized rocks at a skatepark. Ever.
Unless of course you couldn’t get the go ahead to hang the swinging buzz saw from stupid Arch thing that blew out the budget? And surely the budget has been exceeded, why else would you omit the punji stick/spike/lava and/or crocodiles swimming in lava pit? Fuck it, I'm on board, a swinging buzz saw is badass! I can’t wait to see it dismembering people. Or is the plan to attach chainsaws and halberks to the underside of it like the arena from madmax: thunderdome. I can’t see what other purpose it will serve? Shade? maybe. but rain? Even if the weather lines that it allows you to skate 2% of the park without getting wet, it has a fucking hole in the roof and doesn’t look waterproof even if it didn’t. top marks.
Other then that … sick park. Now please excuse the brevity of this rant, as I have to duck home and replenish the water in your mothers dish.

Despite some stupid elements in design of parts and the park on a whole, it does look like there is a fuck load of fun to be had here.. Next time, council, logic would be something you could incorporate into design ha

what a massive waste of money and time
Whoever is responsible for this shit should be hung from the closest tree.

Went out there yesterday. It wasn't that busy and we had fun. EVERYONE ended up with their board going in one of the many large puddles. It seems the drainage issues have been ill prepared. I would like to invoice the moron who designed this for 7 x decks.

The obstacles were fun, especially the slappy pyramid thing. The transition under the shelter/flair had a channel gap and was nice and wide but then the opposing transition was 2m wide?! The shelter/flair has old clothes and junk thrown up on top. It's going to cost a packet every few months to clear it all off.

The picture says it all really. One look at the site would lead you to realise this was inevitable. Both the thrown rocks and the drainage fail.
