this is one for all the photogs out there :)
i've been getting the shits with a few of the bigger photography forums out there lately, so i damn well went ahead and made my own:
http://www.friendlyphotographyforums.com/
and now i'm looking for submissions for the front page pic, so get shooting :)
cheers,
benon
When people stop giving proper critiques and start being friendly photography starts sucking, Look at the circle jerk flickr is for proof. Harsh crit makes you a better photographer.

you need more harsh crit then
my site isn't set up to not provide harsh or proper critiques, it's more angled along the ideas of not having silly maximum file upload/embed rules. and things like for example not allowing models to comment on their photos.
i'm coming from another larger (no point naming it) photography forum who constantly had issues with me posting 9 or 10 pics from a set (renee in glamour/nsfw at my site) and then having renee come on wishing to answer questions other members were asking her. they wouldn't let her join as she didn't have any glamour work as a photog herself!
we got jack of it so decided to start our own :)
harsh critique is certainly welcome and it's definitely the only way to learn!!

You can't figure out how to resize photos, your opinion is invalid.

Versus the Cap'n
Naturally the Cap'n is also charging through the photography industry with these two very important threads:
http://skateboard.com.au/forum/read.cfm?forum=20&thread=73138
http://skateboard.com.au/forum/read.cfm?forum=20&thread=74384
CBG's been shooting longer, and therefore has a more valid opinion the the Cap'n.
FATALITY
I think MAX, ntsc and captain s totally missed the point that everyone needs crit. I never claimed to be some awesome photog who doesn't need crits and don't need to improve. But thanks for trying anyway guys, gold star for effort.
im with comicbookguy on this one for sure
just had a quick look at your forum benon!
looks good, i'll join up for sure :)
looked at the renee photos... first picture i was like "ohh yeahh" and then scrolled down.. my reaction was "woah" haha
(i'll post something in the thread)
i really dont like the format of every forum these days.. the only forum format i like is the skateboard.com.au forum format.. its so much nicer, simpler and clean looking (drew props)
i'll still join yours benon for the support :)
good job! ^_^
forgot to add:
although i dont like most forum formats, yours looks pretty clean and colours are nice and everything
good job! :)
its was a joke, you obviosly took it seriously
sorry if you feel that way
