I like what was done with Redfern Oval, I reckon a few more little fun spots in quiet public spaces would be swell. Rather than a massive condensed park have 'friendly' spots, kinda how certain folks use suss public toilets to do their thing, but for skateboarding.

speaking of Sydney parks, i was down at Dulwich Hill the other day and there is a sign there advising of a potential development for the skatepark. The sign says that the council is looking to move the basketball hoop from next to the skatepark, put it on the tennis court and then turn that area into a street plaza. Sounds like a good idea to me.
I think the council have invited people to meet about it on Monday 29th April, which is tomorrow night (i think). Don't know where, what time or anything but if anyone's doing that or something something
You can view the plans and leave online feedback for the Dulwich Hill upgrade here:

No mention of the meeting though.
i'm working tomorrow otherwise i'd cruise down and get the details off the sign (just moved to sydney, live right up the street from Dullo park). But i do think that the meeting/consultation was definitely tomorrow night
fuck yeah did anyone else get the email about the dullwhich hill "street plaza" to be built by next april? psyched
