Hey Drew, Potty & all the Sponsors, thanks so much for getting us all off our arses to make films about our favorite parks. It was so great to go through my old footage and find an audience for it. I have loved watching the films going up each day. The quality of films is such a high standard and they have all been enjoyable to watch. I feel very honoured to have won this comp' given the stiff competition I was up against.
Collectively, what the films made me realise is how much we all love our local and how important skateparks are in bringing about community, connection and great memories.
Had an agonising last 4 days trying to figure out if Fitzy had won or hadn't placed at all! So stoked to be able to share this video with everyone else who loves Fitzy too. Huge thanks to all the sponsors and to everyone who contributed to making this such a fun and awesome video comp'. Big thanks to Tom Flaherty for providing me with essential extra footage. Thanks to Nick Kilderry, Bikey Muchanan, Patrick Fantastic Buchanan, Aladdin Lara and Aaron Cornall for meeting up for interviews (and Aaron Cornall for the local knowledge). Thanks to Andrew Mapstone for allowing me to use footage of Nick from his 'Tweakage' Video and to Noel Forsyth for the historical photos and Spiderbait for the 90s music. Woo Hooo!
Ok, I'm going to drop all the other entries tonight. Forum heads will get an opportunity to vote for the clip they like the best. Wiener will get 1000 bucks.
