> NEW PARK AT RYDE
The meeting was last night and there is another one in december.
The designers are REDBOX Design Group (redboxdesigngroup.com.au). they have built alot of parks around canberra and nsw. Some parks include weston, new civic park, camden, chatswood, wagga, etc.
The park is going to be a 100% street plaza, no transition which is how a street plaza should be. All you kids can forget about getting busted at the local garden gap or go skate a seven stair rail without security or old people hasling you.
The plans will be up on either the Ryde Council site or Redbox's site on monday, so i'll post them up here so that you young fellas can talk about how your gonna kickflip this or kickflip that.

Do the council know which "area" in Ryde the plaza will be.
Ryde is pretty big.
it will be in Sheperds park, right near the water apparently close to meadowbank station.
they will make the park the cap the rails (ryde rails tha tis not the park ones" and then tell every1 who cant skate ryde rails that they hav a park 2 skate and thr is "grinder railings thr"
too many gaps and the angles are fucked and so much unnecessary levelled flats and stuff... i'd say get someone else from another company to design a whole new park, it looks a mess.
although better than nothing i guess
..a mess, a waste, a great disapointment if it gets built.
...I'll design a "street" park that'll put that to shame...
