Not wide enough for airs, grinds or 50-50s
Can't get enough speed to handplant/invert
So the only lip tricks are rock n roll variations, and they get lame after the first 100 or so.
So let's use it as a jump ramp and try different airs - ooof, smack into the handrail or land in the gardens if you are lucky enough to find the gap.
Rails need to be cut at specific areas and it needs larger concrete landing zones.
But what's the point of asking the council? anyone had any success with getting a murderously badly designed park modified?
cutting out the rail is way too much trouble for the sake of some stupid gromie launches. the bowl is warped but you still should be able to do 'grinds, 50-50s and airs'
Is the landing like the one in the fore-ground? If it is then they do need to do something about it.
I see where you are coming from with the "no success" part of your post but there is a first for everything and it is worth a try.
I'm a Melb boy and I aint talking from experience but from the picture that park looks retarded. Obstacles and layout wise.
The park is pretty retarded. Problem is, I work in the building across the street so it is pretty damn convenient to have a skate at lunchtime. If only they put a vert ramp in instead....<sigh>
engadine park is just crap, you cant change anything to make it better cos it just sucks
