i learnt to drop in on the original halfpipe in nimbin behind the primary school (same site as now i think). it was like 1989 or something. it's so shit that ppl can't skate there, look at all the dodgy shit that kids get up to in nimbin, surely a skatepark can only be a positive thing. i'd rather my kid be good at skating than rolling joints and shooting up. ^+^

skated it a couple of weeks ago, one of the funnest parks ive skated in a while. read in the paper while i was there that the funds raised from the mardi grass were going towards the opening so if you want to do your bit to get this park opened, go smoke some joints during the mardi grass in may and spend some money
in the end its just plain stupid to build a metal ramp 6 metres from someones house. having said that, had some fucken sweet rolls on this shatner a few years back.

Theres nothing in Nimbin thats not drug related.
Theres young ass kids dealing on the street so they need some activity on their time off.
