A heads up from Rod from Concrete Skateparks
"because of the noise problems with the old park we have a three month noise monitoring period to make sure our design meets regulations for the adjoining neighbors. Any complaints during this time will result in changes having to be made to the park. Skating isn't a problem but music etc are so the locals are policing pretty heavily trying to keep a lid on it for the first few months."
ha ha, I think it's astounding that people in a town like Nimbin (with one of the biggest herion problems in the country) can complain about noise coming from a skatepark....haha.
Talk about getting you're priorities right.
shhhh, all your grinds and healthy activities at the skatepark might disturb the local junkies who are on the nod!!
This is almost as funny as the St Kilda locals trying to ban the skatepark because they think it will bring drug addicts and undesirables to St Kilda!!
