Just spoke with Cameron Bell, the media contact from the council, and he said that there have been no concrete plans made for the area.

It sounds like no one has really made complaints about the bowl being filled in and that no one is pushing the council to do anything to fix the area.

Mr Bell has never even visited the skatepark before or after it was filled in.

He did say that the bowl was just filled in and no damage was done by bulldozers, so I guess if you've got some spare time, you could grab a shovel and dig out the bowl.

If your from the area, start calling the council or getting a petition made up because councils will never do anything unless they are pushed.

and they generally need constant pushing.. keep on them and they cave eventually.

from this kind of logic .. pretty much every park (grass with trees) around st kilda should be removed considering how many needles from junkies are leaving around ... actually now to think about it didn't bondi have a needle problem on the beach .. they should have just closed the place down ... i know that burning bins are different form needles but in hindsight both dangerous

yea this is 5 mins away from me.bougville central.was a sweet bowl but the local tribes had ceremonys and ferstivals constructed around a burning plastic bin.then theyd take turns inhaling the flames and going to "la la land". they did this often, im sure theyll be back this weekend regardless of the grass.

Rodos 12:31 26/Aug/09

that is a terrible April fools joke. looked nice!!!

*Nosferatu* 13:24 26/Aug/09

Fuck, would hate to rock up to my local being filled in...do something about this guys!

Water Boy 13:59 26/Aug/09

This in NSW correct?

steve t 14:01 26/Aug/09

The bowl was completely trashed and unrideable before the filled it. Idiot Council built it in the middle of nowhere basically so it was a prime target.

Shame, it was one of NSW smoothest when new...

shannons 14:09 26/Aug/09

Don't bother with the shovels.

I visited the bowl eager for my first ride just before the fill in and found a gaping hole at the bottom (apparently from a car?) amongst other various ghetto salad bowl items eg; 1 trolly, 2 tyres, 1 train sleeper & a bong.

dingbowl in modbury adelaide.. one day it was there. the next day it was completely covered in dirt..

no real reason why either. it was small, right next to a fairly main road, didnt suffer from any vandalism not even graffti it was just old.

atleast it looks like this bowl may be uncovered again

ssalsa 20:19 26/Aug/09

between this and kink-cumber, who wouldn't want to come to skate on the central coast ?
