Yeah Belcos re-opened this weekend and the CROSS Crew checked the old girl out

I had the privilege of visiting Belco today, pretty jet lagged but still gobsmacked none-the-less. There was a number of strangers that came up to me today and thanked me and the people that made the park happen - so I want to say thanks back for the support and acknowledge all the hard work that TAMS ACT Gov, Manteena, Convic, Concrete Skateparks, Oxigen and others have put in to make this the awesome thing it is.
As with any new facility there's going to be a few teething issues. If you have concerns, feel free to email me - luke@skateboard.com.au
Unfortunately there have been a few stray boards that have managed to reach the lake and I have raised it with ACT Gov and it is already being looked into. Something to be aware of.
Apparently on Saturday there was like 200 people there, I heard there was so much stuff to skate that even with all the people, sessions could still happen.
A few people have raised with me that there are no bins at the facility. There are two that I'm aware of, one at each end of the park on the outskirts. Obviously they took a beating over the weekend and are full. There is also shade (not that you need it at the moment) and drinking fountain.
Here's some shots to enjoy. I am so stoked I live in Belconnen!
Dean Johnson takes rad flicks himself and also shreds, popping of the woop-de-doos. Thank God for lights!
Nigel Banks recovering from a heavy ankle injury - nose manual up and pop in
Todd Bieber.. sorry I mean Baker, front feebles across the gap of the pool tiled banks up the top of the park
Scott Kelly pops a stylish floating kicky to fakie on the metal taco thing, clang boom!

Thanks, it's so rad to have an exciting new park with lights. Couldn't be more stoked!!
