Glenroy still appears to be in their strategy.
Consultation meeting at the park tomorrow at 5:30. Be good to have some skaters there. Get sketching on the drawing in the first couple of posts.
Might pay to ask drew or potty to put this sort of information on the front page in order to create more awareness, as Tim mentioned earlier, only a select few lurk the parks forum these days.
Its great to see that there are others out there who are willing to put in the effort with dealing with councils iun regards to skate facilities! Many Props!
Ok so I have been sketching away, poorly, and have some ideas. Please use the pictures to get an idea of the obstacles and the drawings to get an idea of rough placement.
Boob is self explanatory. Here are some cantilevered banks. Thick guage steel, about 5ft with or without a gap could be cool
Really stoked on how the consultation went. Everyone put in good ideas and there was agreement on the obstacles. Some really cool unique ideas that should work. I'll post up drafts when they are done.
Wade really listened and was up for doing unique stuff in line with the rest of the park. We all agreed the extension should be a bit more street focused.
It was great to see some local kids and their folks have their say. The younger crew (12-14?) are ripping
Rad work Josh, I completely agree that Alli is a legend. She was apparently a pro basketball player at one point. Super keen to see what happens with the park!
Bit of an update. Kicker to kicker (with some rad tweaks) dwarf door and a unique take on the P-Rod ledges all go. I was really stoked on how our collective ideas have been interpreted and expanded. Props to Wade. Tough crowd too!
Crew will be stoked. Finished in 10 or so weeks.
