> HAVE YOUR SAY ON BANGALOW SKATE PARK
Just about every skatepark that has been built in the northern rivers over the past 3 years or so has had a big focus in the bowl/tranny side of things and seemingly less effort towards the street/ledge sections. Northern Rivers DOESN'T NEED another park with a big fuck off bowl or snake run that only gnardawgs can skate. Nah, we have more than enough of that !! Instead we need a PROGRESSING PARK where there is a range of DIFFERENT SIZED & height ledges, flatbars (square&circle), banks, hips, curved ledges, manual pads, kickers, hubbas etc all tied in with some flow to the park. And as for the tranny side of things you guys did a great job with the bowl setup like yamba ( 4ft - 6ft also with a bit of variety ) but Bangalow should be ranging from 3ft-5ft and even a minibowl that is 2ft -3 ft. This way your attracting more age groups and giving people a better place to start and progress in their journey of skateboarding. Who would want to learn to drop in on pool coping or ramps that arent mellow?( i.e NIMBIN) Or start ollieing into your first 5050 grind on knee high ledges ? (ie GOONELLABAH) -
I believe parks in this are need alot more variety within the different styles of skateboarding and it should START at this park !
Saw it the other day... Looks like it will be another massive bowl with pool coping and some other poorly built junk scattered around for "street skaters". Don't think I will be bothered driving there again.
I don't understand what you would have seen that was "poorly built junk" because there is nothing but the bowl there at the moment tweak?
Stoked to hear you won't be driving back cause it's just another whinging cunt I won't have to deal with.
