Everyone still comes to the forums for sure, even people you would never expect.
I just think it doesn't feel as friendly to post anymore, like when it was pumping everyone knew each other so it was like a big Facebook group chat. Now theres hardly any connections between posters, theres no real bonding. Also the whole secret/fake profile thing doesn't help.
Another factor someone spoke about before is Instagram and all the other social media outlets which are now the goto for photos. Why would the younger generation even ever consider to post or view the forums.
I remember when myself and others would post photo threads from the weekends or the days skate, you would post up all the photos you got with the digital camera... the digital camera has been replaced with our phones, and the forums have been replaced with Instagram/facebook/flickr/etc etc. I'm not being neg on insta, insta is dope! But to me, those few reasons are the main contributors to why things are how they have become.
Bringing back "The Chat" would 100% increase relationships between posters.
It's a real shame that people have lost interest in keeping the forums alive.
The biggest loss is the archive of stories, rants, and pics, that documented our history.
Up until a little bit over a year ago, this forum was famous for some of the funniest crap ever written, and it is still worth a look at if you ever want or need a laugh
(yes even the jedi will crack you up!)
I think that the easy connection between instagram and facebook and the mobile phone has made people lazy and dumbed down to the point that old forum passwords are even too hard to type in.
So on that assumption I am going to make a call that I can only hope creates a string of vitriol directed at this post.......(if only to prove that this forum still lives)
PEOPLE WHO STOP USING THIS FORUMS ARE LAZY AND STUPID, AND HAVE LET THEMSELVES BECOME WHORES TO FACEBOOK, and HAVE SOLD THEIR HISTORY AND SOULS TO PACK OF CORPORATE A PRICKS.....and they don't even realise it!
And to all of you who have responded to this thread, clearly none of you are lazy or stupid!

Trying to find a story on facebook is like holding a paper cup under a gushing sewerage outlet or storm-water drain in the hope of getting a drink.
An app for smart phones would make sk8parx more accessible and interactive I reckon. I don't have instagram so that doesn't effect me. SLAP is the major distraction. The level of content/posts is 100:1.
Gnar gnar, you can access the forums via your phone and you can post pics etc direct from your phone now. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Ever since the login box went from the top I forgot the email address and password I used to use, then again I wouldnt have much to say anyway. Remembered it on a spur thought so thought I'd throw my pennies down the well.
I'm washed up now. Rarely skate, would love to though I just cant make the time. I'm about to open a mini-lab in Melbourne, so thats something.
Always checking in, but noticed that Potty gets the bulk of posting responsibilities. I used to always send him my park photos but am now putting them up myself to avoid being lazy and piling the work on him.
