I finished Rover God and it was okay. Very Wilbur Smith. I might pick up the other books in the series later.
Just started John Birmingham's Without Warning book where the entire USA is wiped out from some weird phenomenon and people start going a bit silly.

You'll like that one Lazlo, it's a cracking read.
I'm just about finished 'Sniper One' by Sgt. Dan Mills - it's an account of some fuck off big battles in Iraq in 2004 involving a British company vs fanatical ragheads. It's good, fucken.

Oooh nice one bondi. I shall track it down.
Looking forward to JB's book. I love his writing style...it's kind of what mine would be like if I was a successful writer and novellist

books n shit needs to be bumped n shit
Lets talk about absolutely crap books.
I read this book called "The White Room" (cant remember the author) that i took from lost property in the bowlo i used to work for.
It was so fucking bad, just making stuff happen to offend or confront the reader, with no links to the plot (like a few pages about a coops style bleeding sodomy sesh).
I actually threw the book in the bin halfway through.

The simarillion.
Dont get me wrong i love a bit of tolkien but the simarillon was just complicated and full of homosexual elf jargon.

Blowfly by Partricia Cornwell sucked.
But I hate most female authors.
It's because I'm a real man.

I've been given J.D Salinger's Franny and Zooey to check out. Haven't started it yet.
I don't mind Patricia Cornwall. For a rampant rug muncher, she writes okay. A lot of female authors have a tendency to 'big up' their female characters. It kind of annoys me. I really don't think the fact that they have the cooking skills of a 3 hat Michelin restaurant chef really adds to their ability to arrest people...
In saying that, Bryce Courtenay does similar stuff.
Books I hate? Matthew Reilly. I have tried reading his books but just give up. There's unrealistic and then there is Reilly-unrealistic....

Fritzel Von Krumm with a very low tum?
i really dont like to read fiction. i think it stems from my grandfather always telling me that the perpose of reading is education and self betterment with that said i to have read some matthew reilly and i actually felt dumber for reading it. my mum is really into anne rice and i cant understand why.
Apparently Anne Rice has to be out-of-her-gourd-drunk. I respect that. That being said, Interview With The Vampire was tonnes better than its sequels
