krang3 Apr 2010:dez: youre first sentence was exactly the way i was thoughout school. i couldnt care less about exams yet somehow always did pretty well and never had any plans on going to uni altho if i wanted to i had a uai high enough to get into alot of courses i just didnt have the motivation.
my job is building shade sails/awnings stuff like that and yes its super hard work at times as most of it is all manual labour ie carrying large poles about climbing up scaffolding with big rafters the skins themselves wiegh about 500kgs usually and have to be carried up by hand by a few guys. also theres alot of digging and concreting involved. i do consider it pretty hard work usually but also will admit if i put in some more effort in schooling id have a life of sitting in a building doing a desk job not killing myself.
anyway my point wasnt to put anyone down it was simply to say either way you look at it you probably wouldnt be any good at what the other person is choosing. so if you are for example a laborer you probably think a computer style job is a peice of piss yet probably couldnt do anything that the job involes and vice versa.
