can some give me a serious opinion on an ibanez rg tremelo?
floating tremelo?
yeah
gerald the Original Edge trem that was fitted to early RG guitars is the be-all and end-all of all double locking trem systems. that and its sister the Lo-Pro Edge are the shiznit. they have slowly gotten a bit worse with ibanez changing their design every couple of years but still essentially they are generally reliable and perform mad tricks
congrats ^
i want Belman to make guitars again, they were so good. saving up to get a prs custom 24
fuck yeah. white falcons are sick. while we are on the topic of tremelo's, check out a tremelo called Stetsbar's. they are supposed to be amazing
nice work sleep. love that axe. can you play it?
that might've came out the wrong way...if you took that as some kind of niggle
gretsch looks sweet. i have a gretsch acoustic, i love it to death.
i plan on investing in a hollow body soon.

thought this thread had died...
purchased a beautiful gretsch g6136t white falcon a few weeks ago, probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing and beautiful sounding guitars i have played. copped brand new for $2100US including shipping.
did customs fuck you around at all?
they killed me when i had my dean imported.

Sleep that's a hell of a buy. I've been on the search for a Gretsch Country Classic, bit worried about getting a semi-hollow shiped from the states but there way to overpriced here.

no, i got the person i bought it off to mark the package as a gift, and the value being worth under $100US.
if you ever buy from overseas, you should always try and ask the buyer to claim it as a gift and mark it under the $750 australian dollar mark. just so you don't have to deal with the dismal customs/import taxes.
DRIFTz0R, i wouldn't sweat it worrying about getting semi acoustics shipped from overseas.
as long as they're in decent hard cases, they're pretty safe.
although i too was kinda sketched out whilst waiting for it to arrive.
however when it got here, it came in one piece.
i took it to my local gretsch dealer just to suss it out, and make sure it was legit and wasn't damaged in transit.
and DeathMoth, i can't play it....
