GGurooLotag(Troy)19 Mar 2010
ouch "better than nothin ".... that's gotta hurt.

1st thing I would do designing a park that you have to pay to skate .. is see what ppl like.. so I would post it here for feedback.

That scooter clip made me have murderous thoughts, I will also be attending on Sunday.

Have to wear a helmet?

Count me out then. I'm not wearing some sweaty shared brain box.

Good luck though. I'd spend my whole time there stabbing scooter riders who are old enough to know better.

lololollololol WTF is going on with that coping? I just had to check my calendar I thought it was like 1984 for a sec.

Very clearly looks to have not been built by skaters, people that know skaters, or even people that have seen people skate. I don't like to hate just for the sake of it.. but this could have been so good... could have been EPIC...

so.. lol, i wonder how their vert ramp is going....

that bowl looks like something that comminuty service workers would build

The best parks are simple parks. When will people realise.
GGurooLotag(Troy)21 Mar 2010
i think their goal was scooter fags.... mission accomplished lol
they will move on to yoyo's or ass pounding in a few month... I am not sure what will pay their bills then....

www.youtube.com/v/7sSnBH2mQC4 <-- i dont see any skaters at all in the background here either...
BBob21 Mar 2010
End of the day you go to a scooter/bmx park to skateboard.
Iimgne_21 Mar 2010
umm did you think that it may of been during a designated scooter seshion... as to why there arent skaters around...?
TTim B.21 Mar 2010
Fuck you guys are cry babys, someone does a good thing putting an indoor park for you to skate and you bitch about some scooter kids riding it on a designated day and a tiny defect in the coping. The fact is you could not survive as a business just by having skaters only, as you've seen by some of the tight asses who wouldn't pay ten bucks to skate a sick park. They have to cater to everyone to keep it running so enjoy the good bits
Aatheoxx21 Mar 2010
really.. hilltop hoods, filming a bunch of kids on scooters. not really doing anything but jumping into foam.

leaving the plywood as a blank finish looks terrible.

kudos on opening a park. but yehh.. i dunno
Aatheoxx21 Mar 2010
i think some info on whether u can sign waivers and bypass the helmet rule would be good. other than ur locals alot of the people who will trek to skate will be over 18 i imagine. and if they can legally drive, vote, drink i think being forced to wear a helmet is a stretch

is there a store at the park??
GGurooLotag(Troy)21 Mar 2010
"tiny defect in the coping" baaahahahhahahahahhahahaa

my point is, why not consult ppl and get it right if you intend to make coin off people.....
SStuurmaayng21 Mar 2010
not every one cares about money (troy)
the owner wayne had to give up his job 4 this so now he doesnt work.
all he does is help us skaters.
I think its sick an alot of good sk8ers will come out of this place.
If any 1 doesnt have anything good to say than dont say anything!!
ooh yehh monday night sesh 2 morro night 6 till 9
will go off!
Iimgne_21 Mar 2010
hey ruthless seen as your in the know.. is there a chance of the whole waiver thing.. i really dont think i need a helmet.. and if for some reason i did get hurt, there is no way in hell i'd sue.. its my fault for thinking i didnt need a helmet haha.. but like in all seriousness is it possible?
GGurooLotag(Troy)21 Mar 2010
Hey ruthless, i get what your saying and I have much respect for someone to go out and invest their money for something like this. Just extremely confused as to why things like the kinked coping and what appears to be kinked and overly mellow transitions slipped in there.

Many people would be happy to give free advice as to which radius cut at which height and other such pointers free of charge.

I hope this park does get a huge following and doesn't close it's doors any time soon, we need these indoor parks. Would be great though to see them go from a 7/10 park to epic, well thought out 10/10 parks.
Ffloggo22 Mar 2010
a lot of things that people who have brough up as issues doesn't seem like hate to me... more like common sense.
Ffloggo22 Mar 2010
some of the kinks, defects could have been avoided, if someone in the know spent a bit of time perfecting things... rather than what looks to be like someone trying to 'hurry up and get the park built' by cutting corners.
