3base13 May 2011Having worked for Slam not too long ago, I can say without hesitation that the Blackbox '3 covers a year' deal is bullshit. Jake, Trent and Steve are down for skateboarding 100%. Jake's not stupid. He'd have known that the x amount of Americans on the cover would cause this kind of backlash, but a lot goes into getting that mag out every month and getting covers is not as simple as Johnny Awesome did whatever trick wherever.
Say what you want about the company that publishes the mag, but the Slam guys bust their nuts to get that mag out every month.
