My girlfriend has the black ones on the left, she loves them.
She got them from DQM when we were in New York, but they don't have any listed on their website.
But the standards for shoes, Eastbay and CCS. Big range, little prices.

i bought some ccs jeans around christmas, skinny fit.
the waist is pretty big and baggy, and they were too short. when wearing them normally (not around my butt) they go down to about 5 inches off my ankles
but then again im a tall and lanky cunt, and they could be made for fat yanks
but apart from that everything ive brought from there has been pretty sick

I enjoy reading all the back and forth banter about this.
Ted you fat bastard, I got heaps of 34 / 36 jeans for not much - krew and others, most of which came from local shops at full or near full price, but I can do deals for you - average $50 a pair anyway, almost all new or only taken tags off and washed then put away and forgotten about.
As for buying all your product from online sellers, who can argue when you get them so cheap, but then again, how long are you going to be able to get things like that at that price, or if you do need something urgently / from a local shop, is the local shop even still going to be there to get something from if all of you keep buying everything from online shops?
Seems the majority of computer users are going for the cheaper online option, and if you don't give a shit about the local industry, then what is stopping you anyway? You get so much more product for the same $$ and even with shipping, it still costs way less.
That said, I have not and will not get anything from CCS, but has anyone bought the flannies / woven shirts from them?
It is more curiosity than anything else as I have more than enough of everything, but they do look pretty good and super cheap in colours I can't get hold of round here.
At least you can try your gear on before you buy it or decide not to buy it if the pants don't fit or whatever in your local skate shop.
For the Brisbane market alone, I don't hear a lot of happy customers / experiences from Extremes or Skatebiz much, which is sad, given that they are the two main shops in the Brisbane area, but then again, there is not a whole lot going on around Brisbane, eg comps / events as they all used to do on a regular basis.
A lot of people go down the Gold Coast to Skateboards Only and / or Darkside, myself included, mainly cause they have more of what I want, and they don't sell scooters, which I am not too keen on regardless of what motives there are to do it.
At least those guys are down for skating at all levels of the game, so I like to put $$ back in where I see it working, but that is just me.
If you don't have much in the way of $$ and want to get the most of it, I see why so many people are just buying online, but at what cost, long term?

id love to be able to buy all my shit from the locals, but when youre a student deciding on a new pair of jeans or eating, i think ill take my chances with the online sites.
Re free bass - Exactly!
Another funny thing I heard was this:
One shop team rider who gets discounted product from their shop they ride for says it is still cheaper to buy direct online than it is to get it through the shop at whatever discount price / wholesale cost they pay for it.
That is quite ridiculous when you do the math there.
