The video was mental as stated by everyone, but in particular i was super psyched on elijah and raven's parts and to a slightly lesser extent stevie perez, just because i suppose their parts werent hyped up as much as some of the others. but holy shit, vincent alvarez...god damn that was a perfect opener. and the music was so well cut...corey's part was fucked and the line he ended it on was genuinely mindblowing...mike mo killed it and was doing his berrics tricks as actual tricks which will be hated on but i like it, kenny anderson killed it in a shared part with some other guys and alex olson had some pretty good shit. jesus fernandez is fucked...was that a 270 tailslide backside 270 kickflip out? backlip hardflip revert? fucking hell. MJ's part was perfection...solid 4 minutes or so with david bowie, it was so god damn good. malto skates in his pyjamas and does some fucked up shit. i need not comment on guys part except to say that i was down to see koston pop up about halfway through with some tricks, rad. i know im forgetting parts but god damn i was laughing throughout the whole video at the shit i was seeing. mental. also you'll see jack black in the nude.

Malto was saying afterwards that Vincent has 11 hours of raw footage leftover...and "a lot of it is skating". what the fuck? Guy had 5 hours aswell...these cunts are fucked. Getting to properly talk with mariano after it was seriously amazing, that dude is so hyped on skating. Saying how he went through a phase where he'd be doing tricks he liked then seeing some kid doing them on youtube, so thats when he said "fuck this, im doing a back 180 nosegrind switch lazer flip and nobody is fucking with me". The dude is a definition of legendary.

im sure thats the case. but 10 hours of that probably isnt actually of him skateboarding, or if it is its doing fs boards on park rails or similar warm up tricks.

either way its sick to see people actually hyped on a full video and plan on purchasing hard copies rather than just the online video thing where u watch it once and thats it.

I am just so amazed at how they have stayed at the pinnacle for so long as a group of skaters.

Apparently the Deluxe DVD package comes with a DVD, Blue Ray, Bonus Disc, 48 page booklet and "Digital Downloads".

I'm hoping digital downloads means a copy on iTunes because it would be sick to have this on your phone to watch every single day on the train.

I also don't want to pay twice for it just becuase Apple is the greediest corporation on the planet.

Is this deluxe DVD package going to be sold everywhere? Or is it just some special edition pre-order type scenario

The only thing that irked me that i haven't seen mentioned yet is how they used wide angle lenses to do the super epic HD/slomo pull/pan shots instead of fisheye. I guess maybe the cinema cameras that were being used don't actually have a fisheye..? I dunno, but wide angle distortion looks wack, especially when the skater moves out of the frame.

Didn't think the skit/cameo sections were funny.

All in all, there was a lot of really awesome skating that I don't have much bad to say about. I was really stoked on Justin Eldridge's tricks. It's hard to pick a 'best' part... Maybe Cory Kennedy?

So sick... I got a little bit annoyed when they tricked me into thinking kenny only had 30 secs of footage..

Yeah didn't mind all the steady-cam shots, a few were bad and a some others distorted from post production. Don't think they set out for another fisheye look when running with that setup... It's another technique all together thought it worked well to break up the usual fisheye + longlens shots.

Heap compared to how much I've seen in the last few years. You forget the guy exists almost. Especially for a dude with a pro board, shoe etc.

solid effort by the new comers, bit disappointing from the old guys, MJ was amazing tho. wasn't stoked on the music choices or some of the same old spots, but the shanghai spots were amazing.

Every bit of Eldridge footage was so good. I was disappointed both him and Biebel didn't have more.I wish that Eldridge long arse wall-5050 was been filmed from a better angle, I feel the one it was filmed from didn't do it justice Who you gonna trust? Ty Evans or cuntm8. Fuckya

finally watched this yesterday. gnarly production value, a pleasure to watch. most of the music i didn't dig.

most of the parts i was pretty stoked with. MJ and Kenny stood out to me as did Vincent. I can see why the entire internet is having a spray about Guy not getting SOTY and that is because the entire internet is comprised of fucking morons.

Guy's part was excellent; super stylish and fluent and a bunch of shit no one has ever seen before. Could well have taken the SOTY if the part dropped more than a week before the award was announced and i could see why those sister's-skinny-jeans-beanie-on-the-back-of-your-head-in-the-middle-of-summer-wearing cunts would vote for that over a dude who just fuckin annihilated the gnarliest spots ever seen, with style, ease and batty boy Rob Halford backing him up. Too bad for Guy though, his part was pretty damn good in its own right.

all in all, an excellent vid full of tricks i can't do, but for me personally it doesn't psych me to go shralp like Cash Money Vagrant does.

Stevie Perez fucking ruled. Ravens part & and song choice was amazing, MJ's part left me so so satisfied also Kenny Anderson - what a style lord.
