St Kilda is on!!!!!!!!!

mad sessions have been happening for weeks anyways...
lots of crew been going in and out of the place. cops kicked out about 25 people the other night, but were very cool about it and also put forward their dislike for the councils decision to keep the place off limits...

the landscaping seems to be well under way though. can't see how they could do much more to it. bbqs all layed out, playgrounds pretty well done, turf layed, paths made etc...

Yeah still no shade. The park is amazing, however I still can't believe how much space there is for entry and exits without a few token street bits. The entry points looked fun and skateable until they put the statted wood everywhere. It is still skateable but y'know, a couple of flat bars and a ledge wouldn't hurt.

.....The park is incredible though, just nitpicking.

can we organise a big evening sesh and get everyone there soon?

was there today and people were skating it. the sandbags have been replaced with those barrier things but still plenty of room to skate, such as the deep end of the bowl and the small mellow bowl. looks really fun, cant wait to get down there with my board.

I've been skating there a lot this week.

The trannys are just amazing. So smooth and most of them are wonderfully mellow too.

The big bowl is sick. A bit scary at first.....takes some getting used to....people have been killing it already. The whole place is just great. So many different sized trannys, so you can learn a new trick, practice on the medium transitions and then take it to the big bowl. Best tranny park that I have ever skated. I'm gonna camp there.

Some legends took the barriers out of the entire bowl section... loving it.

was there yesterday and barriers were only in the run up things, apart from that and a bit of sand in places its good to go

Just happened to be driving by and stopped to have a look...

So that first pic was of the main bowl.

This one is the far end where the small funny bowl end is.

This is where I would have the most fun, on the small easy half pipe / bowl, which also has hip and bump on either end.

Which then leads out to the right into this: A tight little pool coping corner with seat in the middle of it. Looks like so much fun right there.

It was good to see Jimmy P, Steve W and those other dudes that have moved from Brisbane to Melbourne there too. Small world when it comes to skateboarding, which makes it so much better.

Is there security there on Sundays anymore?

Josh I reckon they've given up. its always been busy when Ive rolled through.

I'd just steer clear of tradie work hours then you should be fine.

Well in that case the little love seat is going to get a proper seeing too!
