However I think Raphabee is right. One of the things I find great about skateboarding is that everyone is in the same boat dependent of race. So for there to be really racially offensive comments on here is kind of a let down.
I am not in any way saying they don't deserve punishment but perhaps keep the racial slurs out?

this is brutal. i hope this guy makes a full recovery. it could defiantly be a bit psychological to.
Its fucked that they could just run up and do something like that, especially as a group. not just one person snapping.

You are a fucking moron. Words, regardless of the speakers intent, have the potential to do HARM. The word Nigger was an essential part of a system that denied rights to an entire race of people for centuries. The word gook was used to vilify and dehumanize the Vietnamese as the West went about killing millions in their Indo-Chinese war of aggression.
These words, when used by a another race are diminutive, reminding everyone who comes into contact with them of a society in which whites are the dominant class. Words like these were used by slave owners and anti civil-rights campaigners for that exact reason.
Words have history and context which can't be ignored. When you stand up for their use, you are nothing better than the other racist scumbags in this thread.
