yeah ... I already had a 300V (35mm)....
so I had two lenses from that...
its virtually technically identical to the 300V (the 300D)..
same specs n shit... just a few less options and its DIGITAL...
so I was pretty familiar to the 300D....
for image quality... im very happy so far, except for I have found that "purple fringing" is found around bright lights etc.
I also had quite bad problems with lens flares occuring at night time when using my 300mm lens on it...
other than that... I have seen NO problems with it YET.
Noise / grain in low light is very minimal... / non existant.
Good investment.

EXAMPLE OF PURPLE FRINGING -

actually now that i think about it... those fkn lense flares and the purple fringing may piss me off in the long run...
oh well... im still happy with the camera.
(its my first OWN digital) :)

P.S - I wasnt using a UV filter or ANY filter for the photos.. because I have heard about "ghosting" cases on long exposures when a UV lens is attached...
