it was taken with my mates d50 using the lens that came with it...
dunny, hit me up on msn lad.

sweet frank!
i thought id have a play with something new.. so yeah, here it is
wedding shot from on the weekend
First wedding shot is blown out.
Second one
- harsh lighting on their faces. you should of tried to shoot them early morning or late afternoon or in shade.
- line going through their heads
- harsh shadow on the bg. You should of got them to stand about 2-3 meters forward and it would of
Web bridge at Docklands. The ledge would also be awesome if it wasn't capped and didn't have cracks in it. oh well
compression has killed the colours and contrast ^^^^
a jack photo I took a while ago
jack shot is fair rad, I like it heaps
I don't like how you have the bottle on an angle. It gives the composition an unbalanced feel which reduces it's effectiveness. I think you should of shot the bottle straight with a really small DOF and then made it stand out using strong contrast to really give it some strength.
Thanks for feedback Frank
Damn Frank. Your getting pretty full on in the photo critiques lately.
First shot is fine for ambient and had no flash available as face is exposed properly. If you had a flash you could have salvaged some of that bg. Would look alright as is if converted to B/W.
AS for the flaming on the second shot. The line going through the head shows no problem to me. Its breaking the image into thirds and the red and yellow conrast strong against the white and black. The verticle line is quite distracting and out of place though.
The lighting on there faces is fine. If there is one problem I see there it would be that they are facing to much into the sun making them squint.
And saying that he should have got them to go there in the morning or afternoon is just plain silly. You will find when shooting a wedding you don't get to pick what time you can shoot them. You can't expect them to come out and see each other on there wedding day before the actual ceremony if its in the afternoon because the lighting is better, you have to make the most of what you have.
Constructive critism is fine and dandy but straight out flaming everyone else's pics is just uncool. Constructive critism involves pointing out what you do like about the pic too. The best thing about photography is there are no straight up rules, only guidelines to help enhance an image. If you like it and the people involved in the pic are happy, then a job well done. You cant please everyone as we all have different idea's on what we feel works and what we feel dosen't.

brad sticking up for my photos, SWEET, but it didnt really bother me, everyone has a right to their opinion, if i didnt want people to judge it i wouldnt post it on here. But your wedding time point is the most important thing, you cant pick the time or the weather.
frank is always constructive
Woah, taken way out of proportion. I didn't mean to flame. I meant it constructively but was too lazy to write something long so I suppose that's why it was taken that way.
nice lighting on the "jus' fo' fun" timmy... explain?
just noticed the sparklers in the pot
Hahaha, so much effort Tim
