star trail pic is so so good

Yeah its fucked? I beleave it was shot 400iso, 20mins @ f/8, not sure why there is so much noise.

Just so there is no confusion. 17-40 f/4L, 1247 seconds @ f/8, 400iso shot @ 17mm

noise looks shit for the lastest pro body from canon. GET A D3 one from that angle and compare hahah

noise looks pretty good considering its a fuckin 20 min exposure. those sensors tend to heat up after a while and heat=noise and i see fuck all noise in those shadows.

JDPL. yes with those factors including but i had less noise on a 20 min one i did with my D50 and tamro 70-300. with no noise nija or anything.

display/bibby are you powering from the camera battery.

Nah Jason there is 2, One over looking a different Jetty, then that one. not like i did much. Setup timer, shutter iso ect then snap. Anyway tonight i tested the D300 on a 40min star trail. And i knew how it would hate it hell bad. The amount of grain of this is insane on the original. And dont say "cAuSe ItZ dA nIkOoNz" cause now there using the same style of CMOS sensors that the Canons use. 40min @ f10 320iso

Now see them dots? Thats the grain... I think i might leave the star trails to the Hasselblad now. Daytime this camera is Insane. Anyone ever used Nikon Capture NX? Not to bad for standard box software.
