just went down to the shops and saw the most epic, low, close, clear moon at a highpoint in one of the backstreets. Quickly bought the beers and went home as quick as i could, grabbed camera, appropiate lens and bolted out the door. Get there, get in position and go to fire the bitch up and theres no battery at all. Fucken digi.

I've had the D100 for about 18 months - and I am thankful it has saved my arse at Uni many times. The original photoshop file of the digital portrait has about 23 layers on it (the people in the background were not all there in the same exposure). And I couldnt remember how to use the layer masks when i was stressed and running low on time. So from the start of the shoot to the end product, around 17 hours of pure hell...

This thread is just fuckin awesome... The image below was shot on a 3 chip digital 4x5 camera, (a fuckin expensive piece of equipment, but so much fun to experiment with.) The best part, no poloriods were needed... (resizing maybe wrong..)

This is what happens when you defocus a long lens on a star for about 10-15 mins.... Try it yoself. Frame the star / constellation, focus on infinity, lock shutter open with cable release and defocus at set intervals. Works best on non-electronic film camera's.

last one for the night is the birefrigence (stress patterns) of a piece of plastic
eg light - polarised piece of expensive glass - object - lens polariser - camera
