heard of 72dpi?
heaps of wack shit can look ok on a monitor at such low resolutions. Slam and ASM from what I know do not yet correctly adjust digi contributions. So a combination of both. Digi is still a long way off touching the quality of film when you are talking full page at 300dpi

Fuckin rad 'industrial' shot Drew!
You definately got skills to pay the bills...
...Can I have a job?
(Im semi-joking for anyone that cant hear the sarcasm.)
Just way too many hours around toxic photographic chemicals for me this last week. Talk about Darkroom sickness! Cant see properly, cant taste anything, cant smell anything except fixxer and shit...
Folio due tomorrow thank fuck.

RE: Miscellaneous Pictures yeah. rad shots man.
No hate intended, but if you're shooting long exposures of rivers, waterfalls etc, my suggestion is use a slow ISO b/w film (Ilford Pan F+, FP4+, Kodak whatever), process with fine grain developer, and print your b/w negs. Nothing more satisfying than that.
Also the leaf macro shot has got some great elements, only problem is the underexposed background light (due to the high mag).
This shot was taken a few years ago by one of my Uni friends. Prob some manipulation, but kinda the same idea.

yeah...

As said before with magazine thing - shit is printed at 300dpi, not 72 - the res at which most shit is viewed on the net....
but another main thing is how fucked it is trying to get photos the same on print as they do on the screen....
The fact that they print magazines in CMYK instead of sRGB or Adobe RGB (which is the profile most cameras shoot on) ... also degrades colour and quality etc.

But yeah... magazines never fix up the quality like the original, they print out to the overall magazine standards or watever i guess
