Sweet, getting a fish for the HVX? There's a shop across from where I live that's full of HVXs, DVXs, all the new Canons... and all the Century fisheyes you could ever imagine.
There's a sony repair place on halifax street in Adelaide that should be able to fix it. I'm gonna try and buy another vx1000 that's also in poor condition, then I can use the parts from that one for the other camera.
Should be back late November or early December. Will try and get back for Liam's wedding.

Yeah i would try to get another one for parts because im sure you will come into problems when trying to get them replaced via a shop. There is an ebay shop in the states that specialize in repairing 1000, maybe them?

"death lenses" are overated in todays skating just keep the camera steady, dont hit any rocks and take the lense cap off before filming and it should be alright!
