yo peoples. Paradise skatepark is getting revamped. Campbelltown city council are asking for ideas, so I spose you can go to the following link and fill out their crappy form.
Personally though, send them an email with your thoughts, and ignore their poorly put together "form".

Been talking with the people at campbelltown city council. There is a 'good' chance of paradise skatepark having an additional "skate plaza" located in the area between the existing park and the bike jumps.
This will be built in 2010/2011 and i should have a definate on it within the next couple of weeks.
We are trying to get the council to go through convic for the design and construction.
will keep everyone informed.

i think the main thing is getting it built through convic, theyre gunna have alot more influence on what gets built there than us regular individuals

On the topic if parks, i heard it through the grape vine that Halletts is going to have the small and big bits attactched with a plaza style thing in the middle aswell. Supposed to be ready by the end of of the year? Can't see it happening by then though.

I spoke to the woman in charge on friday who said they would only be moving some of the stuff such as making the spine smaller fixing the rail (taking the round edges off) and something to do with the ledges... for this the council will have budgeted $40,000. The other 60,000 will be spent of improving the general area surrounding the park trying to get local residents to use the space for other activities of which that feedback form on the website is designed. there is no real plan from my understanding for any concrete future plans, they want to see how the space can be best designed and utilised before committing to any future plans regarding skatepark development however there is the option for this down the track... it was also mentioned that the campbelltown city council also receives far less funding than many other local councils and as such they require to closely monitor their spending on those areas that are "more important" for want of a better phrase. so dont hold your breath for any convic style street plaza cos it doesnt sound very promising...
