fuck yeah, but what that bowl needs is another bowl. is it possible to put a bowl in the bowl? or could you maybe make two identical half sized bowls next to each other? either way its good to see more bowls

RE: MOEY'S THREAD an elavation from one of smaller quaters to the bigger replacing the drop, replace the right hand extension with pic below also a small chanel gap would be rad on the smaller quaters.

what the fuck.
1. not enough room to do anything
2. i don't see how you can get enough speed to hit the end
3. has no flow what so ever.

Who the fuck designs this shit. Is it like a part time job or just a hobby. I mean pretty sure all these messed up designs have had shit feedback. If the piece of shit council doesn't have enough money to put towards something so important (skating) then don't even bother. 50 grand is more than enough to build something fun not boring. its also selfish because your not doing what the majority wants your building what fat old maggots want to skate, which, there is enough of.
Besides the old maggots i don't think anyone could have proper fun on that thing unless its built right. If the council doesn't want to listen to ideas and want to do it their way they can get fucked.

peace, no offence

what has been happening with STSA? are the skaters actually putting forward ideas and becoming involved or are they leaving it up to the people running the organisation? with all the parks appearing on the mainland with designs specifically made for modern day skateboarding there must be a huge input from the skaters. skatepark design isnt what it used to be with a table top and euro gap, everyone is always looking for something different- this park is no different to anything.
but its in campbell town so who really gives a fuck.

would it be such a bad idea to build a skatepark near where people skate? campbell town for fuck sake?

I dont think the cambell town council would put 50 grand towards a skatepark that is not put in campbell town.

Cambell town plan looks ok if you like doing one trick, rolling back to where you started waiting for everyone to skate/ride/scoot through it and go again

just look at the parks popping up throughout the country- cammeray NSW, riverway QLD, bowen QLD, eddison ACT all these parks obviously had a large some of money to play with but they must have had a large design input from the local skaters and what they want to skate. how much money do the southern councils put aside for skatepark development?

RE: MOEY'S THREAD Now this is endless fun!
I don't see why that isn't in Tasmania.
If it's a money issue i don't believe it.

i was going to say all you need to do is look on the front page on this website and you can see the difference in our skatepark design compared to the mainland.
GG, Babeh, Moey, Ben, Dix, James and all the others who have worked hard to push tasmania into the magazines whilst also becoming reconised for HGT videos, bringing more and more bigger names to the state to shoot/gather footage isnt it about time we start getting reconised for our skateparks aswell?

RETARDS Thanks, something constructive.

New design below - will fit site better than the first, and most likely be more accepted by Council.
Just a guess - but I reckon that Convic park would have cost at least $200K. So in this case, only 1 strip.

......

As the story goes - rumours had it that a park was to be built at Campbell Town - a Flat slab 15m x 15m, with 3 Rhino ramps. To step in at the last minute and convince Council to change their mind is never easy... after a few phone calls they started to listen... so it's not until now that we can have a say.

The whole point of posting designs here is to get feedback . 50 Grand is sweet fuk all when it comes to building a park, unless you were out there shoveling dirt and laying crete, and not getting paid to do it. It's almost not worth trying...... almost.

How can we compare ourselves to the Mainland when it comes to skateparks - Since when have we had 3 or 4million to create our playgrounds. It's not the old school skaters you need to convince about modern skate facilities - it's the old school Council blokes who see the shitty parks they have already, and say that it's not worth spending Money on skaters, when they don't use the parks they have.

Meeting with the Council fella next Friday.

thats fucking rad.
surfer i understand we have next to none fundings for skatepark development and realise there will be no million dollar plazas being laid down anytime soon, what i was trying to say is surely with all those rad parks popping up around the country a large amount of skaters must have been involved and pushing the local councils so instead of being player haters on the internet get involved with the STSA, local counsils and push your ideas foward

You the Rep should be the one forwarding all these ideas and telling those assholes what they should be doing. And stop putting in boring designs and they'll work with it.
If there were more parks built for actual skating you wouldn't get losers you'd get more skaters skating them.

skateparks will always attract losers, but on a up note the new design wont attract scooters and bmx.
