revi is the fuckig bomb! if u like steep and deep. its long and narrow, with heaps of snow and heaps of verticle, but not even worth mentioning if the park is your thing. also would sorta suck having to live in the town of revelstoke...
i wouldnt do a whole season there, id do it at a bigger resort with more people/jobs and just do day trippers there.
we got a van the other day so hopefully we get one in before the season ends!roadtripper back to vancouver will be fucking rad aswell!

I did Banff last summer, some friends are think park city but those fucking mormon laws turn me off.
Where would you recommend keeping in mind whistler is out of the question (winter olympics)

conrad, i'd even look at coming here to Big White. im disputing weather or not to come back again next year... thats how good it is. you live on the mountain, everyone rides to there front door. the park here is fucking sick, probably second to whis in bc. u get heaps of dry pow pow, even this year and it was a shit snow year. if i did come back tho i'd defineatly get my own car. opens up a whole lot more in terms of going shopping and going clubbing in kelowna, going on roadtrips, and just getting off the mountain in general.
other than that maybe red mountain or fernie? even silverstar?
the only problem is that they dont have parks as good as here.. and i ride park most of the time unless there ow on the ground.
Righto Big White sounds awesome I will talk to my mates and recommend it, I know what you mean about the car situation I had that problem in Banff.
How many bars/clubs are in Big White? and how close is Kelowna?

there heaps of bars in hotels in resteraunts and stuff, but there is 2 main ones tthat most people go to- snowshoe sams and raakels. no niteclub as such tho. its not a "big" place, but everything is on the mountain so its convenient. also gets annoyig when u have been up here for 3 months and u want to get the fuck out and see something else!
kelowna is a 40min drive away. its a decent sized city with an airport and everything.
having a car would just make everything way more enjoyable. u can go to kelowna and do groceries and buy new gear instead of paying ridiculous prices on the mountain. u can go and get fast food, catch a movie or go to a bar down their. and u can do roadtrip to fuckloads of good mountains close by- red, silverstar, kicking horse, revelstoke, sunpeaks, whitewater ect.
also,lots of people are willing to pay a decent amount for lifts down to the airport or to shop.
i did big white last year. big white is fucking sick! amazing pow and rad snow. except its a cunt for doing grocery shopping unless youve got a car. I did Fernie this year. Sick little town and about 5 minutes from the hill. They had a shit season this year, but I had a few waist deep days with feathery as fuck powder. They have a terrible park though, only a few rails and no jumps. I dont reckon living in Banff would be that good. Heaps of places to go out and cool town, but its like 45 minutes to Lake Louise. Its only like 15 to Sunshine though. But yeah go to Big White I say its sick!

Banff was pretty awesome
The problem was not having a car meant that you had to pay $10-15 a trip for the bus to the resorts.
My main resort was sunshine which was fucking awesome, Norquay is a bus trip away which has an awesome park and night boarding twice a week, and lake louise was still only a bus trip away as well.
So many places to go out, as well as a fair few job opportunities as far as canadian snow towns go.
Still lots of those kind of "Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi" dickheads at all of the hostels but im sure its the same with all snow towns.
I would recommend banff but try and get your job/accom sorted out before you go there because it is pretty competitive

im from mount beauty JV so i ride falls all the time. yeah i was i didnt know if i wanted to go back to big white this year or go to fernie. fernie had a reaaaal average season this year. it went for about a month of no snow, solid ice and -20. shitest month of riding ever haha.
