yeh i think its more that the school holidays are over, the weather is getting nicer, and kelowna has a fucking epic lake, so everyone just stops coming up to the mountain and starts to play golf and go wakeboarding and stuff. plus staff start leaving around this time anyway, and there is just way less people on the hill in general.
im keen to get the fuck out of here now though. most people haveleft and its boring as. nothing is open, i cant even go to the shops and buy a loaf of bread anymore haha.
but who cares, ive had 5 months shredding here, and whistler hype for thursday hell yeh. i get to see what all the fuss is about!

rayner mini at falls is not metal its like this special type of ply wood, apparently its expensive as??? ...its meant to be really tough so when the snow and ice sits on it for months it doesnt warp over the winter... also has a spine...as for ppl riding it on snowboards its a definite no no...if u tried to ride it ud get your ticket taken off u or if u rode it and worked their ud get fired...
when style wars was on jeremy jones was trying to get permission from the mountain staff to ride it but was knocked back.
i remember one day in spring last season me and a few other guys who worked in the terrain park went for a roll on the ramp and some drunk and stoned fuckwit instructors were trying to snowboard on it... when one of the dumb cunts dropped in he caught an edge and took this mass chip out of the bottom of the ramp..i was devd and that dude nearly got the shit beaten out of him by the terrain park guys
