Heading down next week, anyone there, how is it?
those en zed pics look nice. its been horrible in thredbo lately, theres knee deep slush at the bottom its really horrible. its raining up there today, and bucketing down here in jindy at the moment, but apparently a cold front will hit later and it will be snow down to 1200m. i start work at 3 so ill soon find out how that goes i guess.

those bindings are great nick i used them for about two months overseas and loved them
julius yeh saw this clip on pop. looks rad. cool tricks. we went up to baw baw last sun to see if could ride that stair feature. sadly rain had destroyed the kicker up to it and they were re-building. + there was hardly any snow. very patchy and none of those tables and boxes u were riding werent open. hopefully next time.
got a forum manual today, cant wait to ridde it hey..
I'm going snowboarding in a few weeks for the first time. Any tips when first starting out?
hire/buy all the most expensive and best gear, then cause major hassles when you cant catch a lift, everyone behind you really appreciates it!
seriously though, get a lesson, for both your own good and the other people on the mountain
Yeah I'm going with my school so we're getting lessons and all that stuff and I'm hiring my gear. Is it easy to pick up with a skating background or does it take awhile?
personally i think skateboarding gives you a tiny advantage to others but not much, just listen to your instructor and have fun
lessons will be the best thing you ever did...
u dont want to look like that lost puppy mongo pushing kid at the skatepark right?? well same applys to the snow... get technique down and all will follow
hey julius i saw u guys atbuller the other week, well the guy in the red n white jacket n green pants.
and el jacko i have the 2010 forum manual and it is sickkkkkkk!
best board ive had yet for what i like riding.
all though im looking at buying a rome maybe...
looked at the libtechs but fuck me they are heavy!
I never had a leson on a snowboard but had a few on ski's (late 80's OK, snowboards were hardley even out then) and I picked it up really quickly due to my skateboarding experience. The only tip I needed was to always keep some pressure on an edge and I was good to go.
its good to hear that prow, it was kinda a impulse buy, i hadnt heard a whole lot about it. but you are the 2nd person who has said to me its the best board they have ridden. i have tomorrow and wednesday off so gunna make good use of it!
what size is it?
mines a 150 and i love it, i feels like a skateboard.
im moving upto a 152 next year, i have a wide stance and want something with abit more length at both ends, its hard as fuck to do presses with such a short nose and tail!!
let me knwo how you like it
i got the 150 also, have put my stance a bit wider than i would normally have it, ill see how that goes and i will report back tomorrow!
Hi. I have a beginners question. I've been looking at snowboards on ebay, I was wondering what would be an appropriate waste width for someone with sz11 boots? I ride with bindings set at -3/+15. Also, would your skate shoe size be the same as snowboot size?
Thanks for your help
