yeah, the 11's i tried on originally were too small, toes curled up a bit and generally uncomfortable, 12s were perfect though. toes touching the end but completely fine; walked around in them for probably close to 20mins or so and did some crazy walks just to suss them out. all good though
i range from a 10-12ish depending on the shoe i wear. my volley's are 10s, nikes 12 etc.

hyped about snow falling.

just choose he mountain you want to go to man and then just check their website regularly. then around feb (in aus) job ads go up on their website and u apply online.

i have many friends who have worked all sorts of different jobs... best ones seem to be lifties, working at a pub/bar on the mount, instructors or sales staff (hire gear, ticket sales etc).

a couple of friends have worked for lodges/hotels and they think its fairly shit, because of the hours you work and the little time u get to actually spend out on the snow. thts why i went fora lifty position this season

one of my mates has an interview on mountain to be a lifty at buller tomorrow and according to him they provide subsidised accommodation for you. I think he also said that if they can't find you a place on mountain then they'll find a place for you in mansfield and they provide a free bus to and from the mountain every day for you.

i had my interview today and u stay on the mount at falls for $95 a week which comes out of your pay. u share with 3 others and get your own bathroom, kitchen and tv. u have to buy your own food but.....staff meals at the pub across the road are $11

falls is the only place in aus where u stay on the snow (apparently)

im so excited now cant wait. june 7th opening weekend . so close now i can almost taste it

i got the board out and started a bit of fine tuning...waxed her up yesterday.

im friends with the oakley rep so got wisdoms cheap and he recksons his worne every pair of goggles for product testing and swears that crowbars are the best fitting goggle around, but he is probably biased cause of the job, i do some work for dragon so they look after me but i also have a really good pair of wisdoms which are great in fogggy shit. If i didnt have brand loyalty for dragon id probably buy some oakley crowbars for the quality

it can be soft and powdery or sloshy and wet,its fragile yet hard.... u can do many things in the snow...u must experience it, even if its just once...

snowboarding is one of the greatest experiences u can have in this life....
