I just arrived in canada in november (I was living in Banff, which is surrounded by Lake Louise, Sunshine and Norquay) booked a hostel for 2 weeks and got on the job search.
All of the resorts have application sections on their website's, but they are usually pretty shitty jobs For some reason I worked as a baker which was alright
Banff has some kind of by-law where every single business has to offer some kind of staff accomodation so as soon as you get a job your accom is set as well. Such a sick party town also

Uhh well I did heaps of travelling before getting to Canada, like I did SE asia then heaps of Europe, THEN finally Canada so it was around $3600 for 6 months worth of flights, but shop around heaps and book waaaay in advance
Also try and sort your job out in advance if possible, it is really competitive over there so experience is a must.
Also it king of sucks being an Australian, we have a really bad reputation from all the fuck wits that go over there to drink and party rather than snowboard, but if your are kind of polite or rip then you should be fine

Nah Conrad i didn't go sledding. a few of my homies had sleds but i couldn't justify spending 400 bucks on avalanche safety equipment.
and yeh, whats up with new zealanders and wearing gardening gloves?
