The 3 or 4 locals are firing off letters again saying how evil parks and skaters are. So send in your own letters to The Leader and vote YES in their poll.

We're having a meeting at Lodown opposite the Cronulla train station on Wednesday 10th June at 630 pm.
This isn't a show of numbers or design thing, this is for people who want to come on board and help with ideas to convince the council to give us the park.

Shire Watch Independents voted to put the park in Gunnamatta Park even though the council report says it should in at Wanda. Great, except that it will never happen coz Gunna is heritage listed and you'd have to cut down protected trees etc. It's all delaying tactics. Shire Watch is "owned" by a Wanda resident that will do anything to stop it going in at Wanda. This includes letter drops telling everyone how bad skaters are, threatening people, smashing on another letter droppers door etc. So she says jump, shire watch say how high. They even declared their prejudice at the meeting and still voted against us. Since then everyone has been questioning whether shire watch should be in this. There's a move to get the party barred.
It goes to final vote on Monday 29 June at 630pm at council chambers 4 - 20 Eton St Sutherland. It's going to be interesting coz there's going to be lots of people there that hate shire watch and their "owner" and want them cut out of the process.
Peter Gow has even rallied (Sunday 28 midday at Gunna) to go against Gunna and push for Wanda. So he's helping us get the skate park.
