i dont know if ive just been unlucky, but the last 3 pairs of vans shoes i bought have turned to shit way too quickly.
had 2 pairs of av6's, one came apart at the soul at the back half within a week, the others instead of slowly wearing down were kind of chipping/peeling away at the top left side.
bought some rowley 99s 2 days ago and theyre already coming apart at the soul, havent even skated them yet.
anyone else had a problem?
^^^ Yep, had AV6's peel away and get holes in suede way to quick. Also had Rowley 99's get holes in suede within a few days and hole though the sole within a week or two.
I have had Vans previous that have lasted for ages, but I reckon new Vans have gone to absolute shit.
I've had a couple pairs of Vans Versas now and while they've been great skate shoes and haven't fallen apart straight away, they don't seem to be the most durable of shoes.
anyone know where you can get the old style halfcabs with the super thin tounges?
the soles on them last for months
jeez.. can't believe nike is milking the shit out of the janoski's..
Shutdown the Freddy Krueger never officially released. Some pictures of the concept versions (1+2, of which that one is the second and nicer one) released on the internet, and dreamworks(i think? whoever owns freddy license anyway) issued a cease and desist to Nike SB because it held way too much of a likeness to their character copy-writes.
Normally when this happens you can only find size 9 sample sizes as they make like 24 pair runs to show to dealers and give to friends and fam. But with this second version it was actually shipped out to some dealers in mexico or something and some people were able to buy them before they were called back, so it is possible to find them in a full size run, but very very expensive and quite often very well faked.
They look like a piece of sh!t, like most Nikes a waste of money.
Tim B. you'd be a really good sales rep for nike
Yes i would! Nike SB bosses take note
Got a pair of these. Pretty good
Anyone had a pair of cons seastars? I've just ordered a pair in an 8.5. I'm usually a 9 in most shoes, but in the couple pairs of cons cts' I've had I was an 8. I noticed the seastars are in the same range as the new cvo's though, and in cvo's i can fit a 9. Anyone had pairs from both ranges and let me know?
kerang - what size in the half cabs?
I actually prefer the new half cabs - better shape and feel in the fit for me, with padded tounge being just right. They do wear through quickly depending on how much I skate / what I skate, but I have new grip / board a lot too and am not worried about how long they last, more just the feel of them than anything else.
Anyway, I probably have some in various sizes still boxed somewhere. Might be lucky to have your size.
Did anyone see dylan rieder's new series of shoes on gravis? Skateboard mag posted them on Facebook this morning, shit's like 2 french loafers, a woman's boot and a handbag, cunts fucked
Better than a dirty big nike tick.
Nike were in skateboarding before the majority of brands out today were around.
You're an idiot.
Not really, nike sb wasn't out untill 2002
Gino was rockin nikes way back in the 90's cunt
yeah nikes fucking dope. deffantly my favourite shoes for skateboarding.
vans tnt=biggst pice of shit much like tony his self the shoe sucks and give you blisters rolling down the street, much rather a chukka or a adidas vulc, vulcs are actually really good recomend to anyone
all invalid points.
yes nikes were "in" skateboarding before alot of companies but they werent really supporting it.before sb they had a small failed attempt at a skating line then canned it.gino wearing air force ones in the 90s doesnt mean nike have always been legit it just means someone legit liked nikes enough to buy them.
all that being said they are here now being very legit so you might aswell deal with it. in fact they probably do alot more for skating now than fancy pants loafer guys
^^^ @ Reign Supreme... Obviously you are the idiot. They were not "in skateboarding", yes they were around but so were Puma and a lot of other shoes that people happened to skate in. That doesn't make any of them skate shoe brands that are "in skateboarding".
I suggest you pass grade seven before posting again, or if you have actually passed grade seven already stop being such a total rook at life.
Nikes been "in" skateboarding for ten years next year, it's not like they're new jacks still, they put a lot of money into the scene for up and coming riders and they make dope shoes, what's to hate on?
Gravis is much newer than nike and they're trying to pass off some girls fashion boots as skate shoes
You all need a skate shoe history lesson. going back to the start.
Nike, adidas, puma, vans, k swiss, converse... it goes on. people have worn them since skateboarding started..
